Feeling Overwhelmed? Here’s what to do about it

Written by Lindsey Kaszuba

Want to hear the truth? I’ve got A LOT on my plate.

I’m juggling running and growing my business, making my offers even more impactful, holding space for my clients, suddenly becoming a content creator, and being a present mom of three girls, a wife, a friend, and a daughter. And they are all important to me.

I feel like I’m constantly ordering groceries, making food, taking the dog out, cleaning up, organizing our life, rushing to doctor’s appointments, or prepping something for the kid’s school. And that doesn’t even touch all I do in my business.

It would be so easy for me to fall into the trap of saying I don’t have time for myself. There are so many moving pieces that have to be handled and once I realized I could do it all but not at the same time, I saw everything a little more clearly.

In order to avoid feeling completely overwhelmed all day every day I do two things:

prioritize myself and ask for help

No one can prioritize you like you can. Asking for help and learning to prioritize yourself are skills. The more you practice the better you get.

Learning how to go from being overwhelmed to feeling calm and consistent with an inner sense of knowing is simple, but it does take work. Simplicity is really the true key to feeling more at ease in your life and your health. And yes, it IS possible for you!

Once you decide that you want to create a life full of habits that make you feel great, life gets to feel great. But in order to get there, you have to decide you’re worth it, and you have to show up for it, consistently.

For me, coming back to the daily habits that make me feel great is what keeps me from losing my sanity. And the days I realllly don’t want to work out or meditate are the days I know I need it the most.

I’d like to invite you to prioritize yourself and show up in a way that is supportive for you because when you show up for YOU, you naturally show up for everyone around you.

If you’ve been playing around with random diets, are constantly stressed about figuring out the “right” workout, and are stuck between what everyone says you should be doing (ahem spin class and keto diets) and what actually feels good then it’s time you strip it back and SIMPLIFY your health.

It starts with taking a good hard look at your current habits so you know where to start. Then focus on creating healthy habits that fit into your life so they are realistic and sustainable. Without those two key pieces, you won’t stick with any habits for long, no matter how good they feel to you.

I believe in this work so much because it’s completely changed my life. I went from obsessing about every single thing that I consumed and every calorie I burned to now living with such ease and peace in my health. When I let go of all the diet culture norms I’d been following for so long, I finally felt the way I had been trying to for so many years. And YOU CAN TOO.

If you’re feeling a full body "yes, I want this too!”, then I’m your girl. I’ve been there and I’m happy to say I’ve been on the other side for the better part of the last five years and it feels so damn good. I want you to feel that too.

You just have to realize you’re worth it. Your life is entirely in your hands love.

Here for you,

Lindsey xx
