My very first clients success story

Written by Lindsey Kaszuba

A true transformation, that is more than what the eye can see.

Long before I had a business and coached other people in their own transformations, my first client was myself. Yup, that’s right, this is my very own success story 👋🏼

The photo on the left was summer of 2014, just a few months before my wedding. I ate really “healthy” during the week, but on weekends my diet consisted primarily of bagels, pizza, wine, and margaritas. I counted calories and did a mix of cardio & strength training. Ultimately, I was killing myself doing all the things I thought I had to in order to be thin. No matter what I did or what the number on the scale was, I never was quite happy enough with how I looked and I hated the way I felt. You can see it on my face.

Obviously, I was very thin, but at the time I thought I wasn't thin enough or toned enough. No matter what I did or didn’t do, it was never enough.

Fast forward to the photo on the right, I was 9 months postpartum with my second daughter.

My core is looser, my belly button stretched, my hips are wider, and my thighs thicker. But mostly what I see and what I remember from this photo, is that I was happy. I was happy with how I looked and I remember feeling great in my body, even after having two babies. You can clearly see the difference on my face between the two photos.

Are you wondering what I did differently?

What I really did to feel great in my body was that I learned to trust myself.

I learned to trust that I knew what foods felt best, and I trusted that I knew what movement I needed...which turned out to be a much slower-paced version than what I'd previously been doing.

If you’re like me and like to know the details, here’s a list of some things I did differently:

-I focused on eating foods that gave me energy & proper digestion, which are primarily plant-based

-I started doing slow, focused movements like yoga & pilates for just 20-minutes a day, every day

-I began a daily meditation practice (this has been a big one for me)

-I started to self-reflect and get curious about my habits and why I had been doing them to begin with

-I noticed when I was talking down to myself and started to change my inner dialogue to be more positive

-I embraced the fact that our past is there to teach and used it as a learning tool to improve

Now, I live by my rule of doing, eating & moving in a way that feels best. I do what feels best for my body 90% of the time and when I do what doesn't feel great, I do it with zero guilt or shame attached. Then I get back to what feels good.

This takes time and no, it definitely did not happen overnight. But NOW, it’s very simple and I don’t have to put much thought into knowing what to eat or how to move, I just know and naturally gravitate toward those things. And you can do that too my friend.

You see, it goes much farther than physical appearance or the number on the scale. When you ditch the idea of always trying to lose 5 pounds, you gain the idea that you CAN feel great and you WILL follow your body's guide. If you’re always focused on a specific number or jean size, your mind will naturally keep you stuck in fear and you’ll never reach your goal.

I’ve got loads of coaching strategies to help you get beyond that, so you too, can experience your own transformational success story.

Here for you, xx
