Power Oats

Power oat bowls are a great way to kick start your day. They are filing, pack in the nutrients and you can make them savory or sweet. This is a great one for breastfeeding mamas as it is excellent for milk supply and satisfies those insane hunger pangs. Oats are actually one of the top 5 best foods to eat while breastfeeding! My go-to recipe below.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats

  • 1/2 cup milk of choice (I usually use almond)

  • 1 tsp honey or maple syrup

  • 1 tsp chia seeds

  • 1 tsp flax seeds

  • 1 scoop collagen peptides

  • 1 Tbsp sunflower seeds

  • Small handful almonds and/or walnuts

  • Sprinkle with cinnamon


Add all of the above to a bowl and top with your favorite fruit. My favorite combo is banana, strawberries and blueberries.
