The health coach acts as a supportive mentor, cheerleader, and wellness authority, helping clients feel confident and empowered throughout the entire journey. What’s the difference between a nutritionist, a life coach, and a health coach?

Nutritionists focus primarily on food and nutrition, a life coach focuses on general lifestyle, and a health coach marries the two. Health coaches help develop individualized strategies for improving all areas of health, inclusive of lifestyle.

Are health coaches certified?

You do not need a certification to be a health coach, however, there are credible institutes where you can receive a certification. I am Certified from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.

Do you need a health coach?

The NY Times says ‘Everyone Could Use a Health Coach’. Health coaches can help you improve every aspect of your life. We bring awareness to areas of your life that may be holding you back so you can release what no longer serves you and create new, healthy habits that fit in with your lifestyle. Do you need a health coach? No, but they can certainly help get you where you want to be.

What are the costs?

Rates can vary depending on location and training and can range from $200 - $1,000+ per session. Many coaches charge monthly and have a minimum commitment.

Does insurance cover health coaching?

Most insurances do not currently cover health coaching.
