How to create real change

Written by Lindsey Kaszuba

Do you know the three words that can transform your life?

They are also the three things we struggle with the most when it comes to creating healthy habits.

Those three words are Courage, Clarity, & Consistency.

Starting something new takes courage. The more you ignore all the rules, all the shoulds and shouldn'ts, and make decisions for YOU, the more courageous you will become. It's like a muscle: the more you practice and exercise it, the stronger it becomes.

The second C is clarity. Gaining clarity is simply a matter of listening once you have the courage to begin. Imagine waking up every day feeling certain that you'd eat foods that energized you, move in ways that made you feel strong, and go about your day feeling present and attentive even in the middle of anxiety or stress. Clarity can help you in manifesting the life you want.

Consistency is the thread that connects them all. You will never see results until you are consistent. I know it's a hard truth, but we are the result of our habits. Life ebbs and flows, it will never be perfect, and there will always and frequently be times when things don't go as planned, and in those instances, you will fall back into the habits you've created (the good, bad, or ugly).

Change is created when these three C's come together. And if you're still reading, I'm guessing that's exactly what you're searching for.

So, grab a journal & let’s practice the three C’s!

✨ What would you do differently if you forgot all the health rules you've learned over time (such as weight loss happens when calories out > calories in, cookies are a guilty pleasure food, etc.) and concentrated solely on what felt good to you?

✨ When it's time to eat, take a moment to consider what to choose. Pay attention to what your body needs. This simple act of pausing can provide you with an amazing amount of clarity. What’s one way you can remember to pause?

✨ What is one small, realistic shift you can take today to stay consistent with what feels great to you?

Do that today, tomorrow, and the next day. And then build a support system so that when everything goes awry, you can lean on them for motivation to keep going.

Let me know what you think about the three C’s! I’d love to hear from you.
